The international project “11. Days of Ukraine 2026 in Košice” aims to develop cross-border cooperation and relations between Ukraine and Slovakia. The event, which has been organized continuously since 2015 by the FEMAN Association in cooperation with partners from Slovakia and Ukraine, aims to promote peace and bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
The program includes various sports activities, such as the “Veteránska míľa 2026” charity run in City Park, 3x3 races, and the “Sports Equipment Exchange for a GOOD CAUSE,” where swimming gear and other sports equipment will be collected. Special attention is given to supporting children and youth in sports, their integration, and psychological assistance.
Humanitarian campaigns and volunteer initiatives are also planned, highlighting the importance of material and moral support for regions affected by the war. The project promotes cross-border cooperation by discussing infrastructure reconstruction, security, economic partnerships, and the exchange of expertise between cities such as Košice and Uzhhorod.
High-ranking guests are expected to attend the sporting events, including the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and New Zealand, as well as renowned athletes and ultramarathon runners from Ukraine. The project is being implemented with financial support from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic and in cooperation with Visit Košice.
