Pension in Slovakia for Ukrainians — work record, minimum payment, and Ukrainian pension
A Ukrainian can receive a Slovak pension without Slovak citizenship: pension age and at least 15 years of insurance are required, including at least one year in Slovakia. The Agreement between Ukraine and Slovakia on social security has been in force since January 1, 2002 — work record from both countries is combined for pension rights, but each state pays only for its own years. The minimum Slovak pension from January 1, 2026, is €412.00 per month for 30 years of qualified work record. Slovakia does not take over the Ukrainian pension: it continues to be paid by PFU.
