Vélour Agency plans weddings in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic: turnkey, partial, or just for the day of the celebration. The agency was founded by Kateryna Shvets, and the team works in Ukrainian, Russian, Czech, and English. A turnkey package starts at 35,000 Kč (≈ 1,437 €)—this is the agency’s fee and is independent of the wedding budget.
Who is behind Vélour Agency, and what languages does it use?
Kateryna Shvets describes her goal as follows: to make the planning process a “pleasant, well-structured adventure” for the couple, rather than just another chore. The team communicates with you and your guests in your language, and with Czech venues and vendors in Czech, so you won’t have to correspond with them yourself.
The agency is based in Prague but organizes weddings throughout the Czech Republic: at villas, castles, and country estates outside the city. Among the weddings for the 2026 season are Velvet Garden at a villa near Prague, La Dolce Vita at Aura Verda with a ceremony by the lake, and Starfall at the castle where Kateryna herself got married.

When searching, be sure to type the full name: Vélour Agency or Vélour Prague. If you search for just “velour,” Google will return companies with similar names from other countries and even from Prague, while “velour” in Cyrillic leads to fabric and clothing results.
Turnkey weddings, partial planning, and other events
The main service is a turnkey wedding offered in three packages: Atelier, Maison, and Couture. For those planning on their own, the agency offers partial planning services. You can also order venue selection separately for 5,000 Kč (3–5 options and one joint site visit) or contractors starting at 2,000 Kč.
Other options:
- an intimate wedding for just the two of you or with close family and friends;
- proposals and engagements starting at 10,000 Kč, with 5,000 Kč deducted from the price of your wedding planning;
- birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, and other private celebrations—starting at 6,000 Kč per event for up to 20 guests;
- corporate events, team-building activities, and conferences—starting at 15,000 Kč; pricing is calculated on a case-by-case basis.
How much does a wedding planner cost at Vélour Agency?
The three all-inclusive packages cost 35,000, 50,000, and 65,000 Kč, with a fixed price difference of 15,000 Kč (≈ 616 €) between each tier. Amounts in euros are calculated using the ČNB exchange rate as of November 2, 2026: 1 € = 24.350 Kč. Our currency converter will show you the amount on the payment date.
| Rate | Price | ≈ € | Who it’s for and what’s included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atelier, “Let’s Plan Together” | 35,000 Kč | 1,437 € | Up to 50 guests; the couple participates in the planning; coordinator for up to 12 hours |
| Maison, “Full Planning” | 50,000 Kč | 2,053 € | Up to 100 guests; a concept based on your story, wedding ceremony if desired; two coordinators for up to 14 hours |
| Couture | 65,000 Kč | 2,669 € | Everything from Maison, plus guest transportation and accommodations, consultation on legal marriage, two or more coordinators |
A second event (welcome dinner, second day, brunch, or after-party) can be added to the package starting at 12,000 Kč. An additional coordinator and a personal assistant for the bride cost 5,000 Kč each.
The agency fee is not dependent on the wedding budget
The agency’s fee is equal to the package price and is quoted upfront. You pay for the venue, catering, photography, decor, accommodations, and transfers separately, based on the contractors’ invoices and without any agency markup. Vélour Agency selects, books, and oversees these vendors, and, as the agency states, presents the invoices as-is: “you can see exactly where every crown goes.”
Simply put, a more expensive venue doesn’t make the planner more expensive, as is often the case when the fee is calculated as a percentage of the budget. Payments to vendors are spread out over the calendar so that all prepayments aren’t concentrated in a single month. You can upgrade to a higher package at any time by paying the difference. A rough estimate of the total wedding budget is provided during the first free consultation.
How does Vélour Agency handle remote wedding planning?
According to the agency, most couples plan their weddings remotely, so there’s no need to travel to Prague for every meeting. The agency recommends contacting them 6–12 months before the wedding date: its website states that “the best venues in Prague are booked about a year in advance.”
Here’s how the agency describes remote wedding planning:
- A free 1.5–2-hour consultation, online or in Prague: plan, budget, venues, timeline. You can sign up via the form on the website or on Telegram (@kataryna_shvets).
- A personalized questionnaire: what you love, how you met, and how you envision this day. A concept is developed based on your answers, and you choose vendors from a list of pre-selected options.
- Meetings take place via video calls; venues and decor are shown in videos. The budget, guest list, seating arrangements, and timing are managed in your personal account, and an AI assistant on Telegram answers questions about your wedding; you can even add guests via voice commands through it.
- One trip to Prague—for tastings and dress fittings.
- Wedding day: The agency promises that coordinators will be on site first thing in the morning, and all logistical matters will be handled by them, not via your phone.

In the all-inclusive packages and the Guide plan, the private room is included in the price; separately, it costs 5,000 Kč. Starting in October 2026, there will be a direct flight from Poprad-Tatry Airport in eastern Slovakia to Prague.
Documents for Marriage in the Czech Republic and the Wedding Ceremony
A celebration in Prague does not automatically mean a marriage in the Czech Republic. A symbolic wedding ceremony is not legally registered, and the agency explicitly warns about this. It is chosen by those who register their marriage at home or separately from the celebration. Officially, a marriage in the Czech Republic is registered by the matrika (civil registry office) or performed by a church authorized to conduct wedding ceremonies.
The “Documents for Marriage in the Czech Republic” service starts at 15,000 Kč (≈ 616 €): the agency arranges translations and apostilles through its partners, schedules the couple’s wedding registration, and finds an interpreter for the ceremony. Apostilles are required here for documents from other countries: Ukrainian documents do not need an apostille for the Czech civil registry, as the agreement between Ukraine and the Czech Republic on legal assistance (No. 123/2002 Sb. m. s.) exempts them from additional certification, though an official translation into Czech is mandatory. The translations themselves, apostilles, the translator’s fees, and the state fee at the registry office are paid separately, according to the agency. We’ve covered how apostilles on Ukrainian documents work in Slovakia in a separate article.
A wedding ceremony at Maison and Couture is already included; at Atelier, it is added for 5,000 Kč: the church, arrangements with the priest, the choir, and music.
After the wedding ceremony, Ukrainians in Slovakia still have one more step to take: within 5 business days, they must notify the Foreigners’ Police of their new marital status and last name, if it has changed.
Who is Vélour Agency best suited for, and for whom would partial planning suffice?
The pricing depends on the number of guests and how much you want to handle yourself. The “Atelier” package is for up to 50 guests and involves your participation in the planning; the “Maison” package is for up to 100 guests, where you entrust the concept and all planning to the agency. Couples whose guests are traveling from other countries choose the “Couture” package, and the agency notes that it accepts only a limited number of couples per season for this package.
If you’re taking on most of the work yourself, a partial planning package will suffice:
| Format | Price | ≈ € | What’s Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consultation | from 5,000 Kč | Starting at 205 € | Review of your preparations: contracts, timing, budget; 1.5–2-hour online review |
| Guide | 15,000 Kč | 616 € | A plan consisting of 6 stages, an online meeting at each stage, and chat support with the organizer |
| Event Coordination | 20,000 Kč | 821 € | Review of arrangements and risks, plus two coordinators for up to 12 hours on the wedding day |
The Guide package, including wedding day coordination, costs 25,000 Kč (≈ 1,027 €). Following a separate assessment, wedding day coordination will cost 15,000 Kč instead of 20,000 Kč. If you’re unsure, we’ll help you choose the right package during a free consultation.
You don’t need an agency at all if you’re planning just a civil ceremony and dinner with your closest friends and family at a single restaurant: you can handle the venue and seating chart on your own.
Before your first conversation, note down the date—or at least the season—and the approximate number of guests. Both the price and the choice of venues depend on these two details.
