From September 3 to 6, Bratislava will host the sixth annual Symfónia umenia festival, which will bring together world-class artists on one stage. Five unique concerts covering different musical genres will take place in the square in front of Pradiarňou 1900.
Among the headliners is the world-famous soprano Diana Damrau, who will perform in Slovakia for the first time with the Slovak Philharmonic. Also performing at the festival is Mitchell Zhanga, a star of the musical “MJ: The Musical” from London’s West End, who will perform Michael Jackson’s hits.
The program includes the Slovak premiere of the rock-symphonic adaptation of Mozart’s “Requiem,” the concert “FREDDIE V OPERE!” for Freddie Mercury’s 80th birthday, and an interactive family concert “The Best Slovak Folk Tales” for children from three years old.
