The Slovak National Jazz Orchestra opens its concert season in Bratislava, inviting special guest Tony Lakatos (HU/DE), one of the most respected European tenor saxophonists.
The evening's program will combine music from the album Wild Land with big band arrangements of Tony Lakatos's compositions, which will be performed only at this concert. The evening will also include the official presentation of the album Wild Land.
Tony Lakatos is a prominent figure on the European jazz scene, who has been a soloist with the famous hr-Bigband Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main since 1993. During his career, he has participated in over 280 recordings and collaborated with stars such as Randy Brecker, Al Foster, Terri Lyne Carrington, and others.
The Slovak National Jazz Orchestra is a professional big band with 18 members, holding regular concert seasons in Bratislava. It brings together leading Slovak jazz performers with musicians from abroad.
