The Western Slovak Museum in Trnava invites you to a unique “Japanese Evening,” where you can immerse yourself in the world of samurai. The event offers visitors a chance to try katana (Japanese sword) handling, learn proper breathing, and basic fighting techniques.
You can watch demonstration fights in the museum’s baroque dungeon, where warriors will show clashes with soft katanas and training knives. There will also be a chance to see a narrated demonstration of traditional Japanese clothing and a fashion show.
Additionally, visitors can explore Japanese gastronomy, try Japanese archery, and throw metal stars. For children, there are themed coloring pages, games, and face painting.
Katana training sessions will take place at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, with a limit of 12 participants per session, so prior registration is required. The event is designed for adults and youth from 14 years old, and no prior experience in martial arts is needed.
