Job description

The company Toolsshed Slovakia invites a CNC lathe setter (živnosť - trade license) to join their team due to expansion. If you have experience in the full cycle of manufacturing parts on CNC lathes and confidently work with control programs directly on the machine control panel, we will be glad to meet you. What you will do

Performing the full cycle of setup and preparation of CNC turning and turning-milling machines for manufacturing new parts from scratch

Working with control programs directly from the machine control panel (Fanuc, Siemens Sinumerik, Heidenhain, Haas, or OKUMA OSP control panels) — entering code, checking toolpath, and editing parameters during processing

Manufacturing parts "turnkey" — independently performing the entire production cycle from initial machine setup to finished part according to specified technical parameters

Fluent reading, analysis, and understanding of complex design and technical documentation

Independent selection of cutting tools, tooling setup, and calculation of optimal cutting modes depending on the workpiece material (various steel grades, aluminum alloys)

Requirements

Work experience

at least 3 years on metalworking machines (lathe group)

CNC skills

ability to work directly with code on the machine control panel (entering and adjusting control programs)

Manufacturing parts

experience in the full cycle of manufacturing parts according to drawings (from setup to finished product)

Technical documentation

fluent reading of design and technical documentation

Tools and cutting modes

independent selection of cutting tools and calculation of cutting modes (steel, aluminum)

Measuring tools

working with precision measuring tools for quality control (micrometers, bore gauges)

Software

proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidCAM, NX
