According to the new rules, only two categories of drivers will be allowed to park on Romanova Street:
Residents of the PAAS zone (Bratislavský parkovací asistent — Bratislava Parking Assistant) with a resident card for zone PE1.

Residents of the Petržalský parkovací systém (PPS — Petržalka Parking System), who are registered in the URBI app. These spots are usually marked with blue lines.
Unfortunately, guest and bonus parking will no longer be available here. This means that holders of PAAS guest parking cards, PPS guest hours via the URBI app, and PAAS bonus parking cards will not be able to use these spots.
What are PAAS and PPS and why is it important?
In Petržalka, the largest residential district in Slovakia, two parking regulation systems operate simultaneously, often causing confusion.
PAAS (Bratislavský parkovací asistent — Bratislava Parking Assistant) is a city-wide regulated parking system introduced by the Bratislava city magistrate. In Petržalka, it covers zone PE1. Special resident cards apply for residents of this zone. For non-residents, parking in PAAS zones usually costs 1 euro per hour on working days from 12:00 to 24:00 and on Sundays from 18:00 to 24:00. An annual subscription card costs 800 euros.
PPS (Petržalský parkovací systém — Petržalka Parking System) is a local system developed by the Petržalka city district. Registered Petržalka residents with authorized vehicles park in PPS zones (marked with blue lines) for free. Visitors can park for free from 7:00 to 18:00 using the URBI app.
Romanova Street belongs to the Háje I location, which is planned to be fully integrated into the PAAS system during 2026 or 2027. Until then, a temporary regime will apply.
How to get a PAAS resident card or register in PPS?
If you are a resident of Petržalka and live on a street subject to regulated parking, you need to obtain the appropriate card.
For PAAS: You can apply for a rezidentská parkovacia karta (resident parking card) via the web interface permits.parkdots.com or at contact points.
For PPS: Registered Petržalka residents with authorized vehicles park for free in the PPS system. Detailed information and registration options can be found on the official resources of the Petržalka city district dedicated to parking.
Remember that from the first quarter of 2026, PAAS zones have unified rules regarding Sunday parking: it is now paid from 18:00 to 24:00, which is a response to increased car traffic on Sunday evenings.
What to do if you are not a resident?
If you are not a resident of zone PE1 or do not have the appropriate card, you will need to look for alternative parking options. We recommend checking current rules and available parking spots in advance to avoid fines. General information about parking in Petržalka can be found on the Parking.sk website.
These changes are part of a broader reform of Bratislava's parking policy aimed at organizing traffic and ensuring enough spaces for local residents. Pay attention to new road markings and signs to avoid trouble.
