The investigator of the Regional Directorate of the Police Corps in Bratislava charged two minors, who are only 15 years old. The teenagers are accused of a particularly serious crime — preparing intentional murder, and the victim of their planned attack was to be their own classmate.
This case caused extreme concern among the public due to the young age of the suspects and the seriousness of the accusation itself. Both young men are in custody.
Court decision and detention
The judge from the preparatory proceedings of the Banská Bystrica branch of the Specialized Criminal Court decided to detain both teenagers. The main reason for this step is the fear that if released, they might continue criminal activity.
The police are not disclosing more details yet, considering the ongoing investigation. The spokeswoman for the Bratislava Regional Police, Martina Shemetkova, confirmed that providing more detailed information at this stage could harm the purpose of the criminal proceedings.
Investigation circumstances
The preparation of the attack was reported by the TV channel TV Joj, according to which two students cold-bloodedly prepared to eliminate a boy with whom they went to school. Details about what evidence the police seized and what exactly motivated the teenagers to this act remain the subject of the ongoing investigation.
According to official information from ta3, this is one of the most serious cases of youth crime in the regional police activity recently. Considering the age of the accused and the preparation stage, if guilt is proven in court, they face severe prison terms, although the Criminal Code for minors provides special reductions of criminal sanctions.
