Windmill park project in eastern Slovakia meets local resistance

Plans to build more than 40 wind turbines near Michalovce have caused protests from villagers who fear noise and negative environmental effects. Village mayors have signed petitions against the construction and sent negative opinions to the Ministry of Environment. The developing company promises to consider all comments during the environmental assessment, but construction will not start without the community's agreement.
