It would seem impossible to find yourself in danger in a matter of seconds on a bustling city street, but reality sometimes throws up shocking situations. In the Staré Mesto district of Košice, an incident occurred that nearly caused an accident on a busy road.
Near a crosswalk, a man suddenly lay down in the roadway, completely blocking traffic. The pedestrian’s erratic behavior alarmed drivers and created a dangerous situation on the road.
A member of the civic initiative Miestna občianska iniciatíva Slovenská Rodina (MOI SR) happened to notice the dangerous situation from inside his car. The man kept his composure and immediately went to help near the blocked section of the road. He calmly and politely addressed the offender, demanding that he leave the dangerous area. Thanks to the prompt intervention of this concerned citizen, the man stood up and safely walked off the road, after which traffic for both vehicles and pedestrians was fully restored.
