Since September 3, 2026, the first 24/7 KRAJ store has been operating in Bratislava at Drotárskej ceste 51. During the day, it operates with regular staff, and at night it switches to an automatic mode without sellers.

How does the night mode work?

During the day, the KRAJ store serves customers like a regular supermarket. In the evening and night hours, it switches to fully automated operation. To use the night mode, you need to register on the website kartaprevas.sk and verify your identity through the Veriff system. After that, you can generate a QR code for entry in the mobile app.

Entry and purchase process:

  1. Entry: When you arrive at the store, scan your QR code on the scanner by the door to enter a small vestibule. There you will need to scan the same QR code again to enter the sales area directly.

  2. Payment: The store has two self-service checkouts. You can pay for purchases only by card or phone.

  3. Exit: After you have bought and paid for everything, scan your QR code again to exit the store.

If problems arise, there is an intercom at the checkouts and near the doors to contact an operator. They can remotely open the door for you or help solve other issues.

Operating hours in autonomous mode

In automatic mode, the KRAJ store operates on the following schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM

  • Saturday: from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM

  • Sunday: from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM

The KRAJ network explains that they chose this location due to high demand for a more flexible schedule specifically in this district of Bratislava. Similar stores without staff already operate in Slovakia, but KRAJ notes that their advantage is a wider assortment, including regional products and goods for people with food intolerances.

More information about the network and current promotions can be found on the official KRAJ potravín website.
